About Me

I’m a hands-on engineer who connects code, devices, stores and people.

Hi, I’m Ryan Sabarre.

I’m a Melbourne-based Senior Software Engineer with more than 20 years of experience building software that has to work in real stores, offices, manufacturing lines and mobile devices. My background combines retail POS, self-checkout, payments, hardware integration, mobile development, automation and production support.

I’m often the person who connects the moving parts: source code, APIs, payment terminals, scanners, scales, printers, customer displays, support issues, store rollouts and business requirements. I care about software that is reliable, testable and clear enough for the next developer to maintain.

Recently, I have been building agentic AI workflows using Claude, Codex and Claude Skills to support investigation, planning, code review, testing and documentation. My focus is practical AI: faster delivery with human review, controlled scope and production-safe decisions.
